An advancement or have car manufacturers got this one wrong?
Only 8% of new cars sold have full sized spare wheels, 30% have space savers which are a very temporary fix and the remainder get a puncture repair kit.
It is supposed to be better for fuel economy and improve the green credentials because of reduced weight - really. Why does it look so much like penny pinching then?
Have you tried the puncture repair kit and did it work? Most cases not for long, Plus it is only a temporary fix so if you do fall foul of a pot hole, a nail or similar and have used the repair kit come and see us for a check and repair. It doesn't cost much for a puncture repair and can save you a lot of trouble later.
